Nalin Prabhakar to be DGP, J&K from Oct 1
Nalin Prabhakar has been appointed the Special DGP, Jammu and Kashmir and he will take over as DGP of the state police from October 1, 2024. As per DoPT order, after joining the AGMUT cadre on deputation from Andhra Pradesh, Prabahkar has been posted as SDG , J&K Police with immediate effect to September 30, 2024. Further, after retirement of R R Swain, DGP, J&K on September 30, Prabahkar will take over the command. He is a 1992 batch IPS officer.
