Nikhil Nandkumar Arekar has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd., a leading Urban co-operative Bank in the country. Nikhil Arekar has an extensive experience of 31 years in Urban Cooperative Banking Sector.
Nikhil Arekar is post-graduate in commerce and a CAIIB degree holder from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). Nikhil Arekar began his journey with TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd. in December 1993 and has progressed through various roles within the organization to the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure he has worked in Credit, Forex and Administration verticals of the Bank and has gained valuable experience in the areas of Banking, Retail Credit, Corporate Credit, SME Credit, Forex, NPA Management and Business Development.
The Board is confident that Nikhil Arekar will successfully lead the growth of of the Bank and also enhance customer experience.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Mrs. Subbalakshmi Shirali retired on 31st August 2024. Subbalakshmi Shirali has congratulated Nikhil Arekar and wished him success in his role as MD & CEO.
