Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The financial capital of the State is gearing up to give a cordial, graceful traditional welcome to the delegates coming to participate in the 41st plenary meeting of Eurasia Group meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Arrangements have been made at the airport for a hustle-free entry and exit for the delegates.
Air Traffic Control (ATC) has been alerted so as to ensure that flight carrying delegates is not delayed at the time of landing or take-off. One international flight carrying Russian delegates will arrive directly from Russia. The prestigious regional meeting of FATF in the form of EAG is going to be held in the country after a gap of 16 years.
EAG delegates will discuss ways to counter the menace of terror financing and money laundering. It is being organised in the city from November 25 to 29 at BCC. Since about 150 high-ranking officials from over 12 countries are coming here to participate in the meeting, special arrangements have been made at the airport to tender them VIP treatment right from the time of arrival to their departure from the airport for their hotels. VK Seth, director of DABH International Airport, briefed about the special measures taken up for the movement of the delegates of EAG meeting. He said that elaborate arrangements are being made at the airport to give them a red carpet welcome.
The arrival of the guests will start from November 22 and all are coming by scheduled commercial flights, except the Russian delegation which will arrive directly from Russia. The guests will not face any delay in getting their baggage. Three counters are being set up at the airport lounge to help and welcome the delegates. The artists will play welcome tunes live on the musical instruments. IMC is carrying out beautification work outside the airport premises by painting the road dividers. Plants are being trimmed and greenery is being enhanced.
