BMW Motorrad India Announces 2.5% Price Hike Effective January 1, 2025

BMW Motorrad India has announced a 2.5% price hike across its entire range, set to take effect on January 1, 2025. The price increase is due to the growing costs of production and inflationary challenges within the automotive sector. This adjustment will impact the ex-showroom prices of all models offered by BMW Motorrad in India.

Since its entry into the Indian market in April 2017, the brand has offered a variety of motorcycles, including the locally assembled G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR. Additionally, BMW imports high-end models such as M variants, roadsters, touring motorcycles, and two electric models—the CE 02 and CE 04.

BMW R 1300 GS

The BMW G 310 R remains the brand’s most affordable motorcycle at Rs 2.90 lakh, while the M 1000 RR is priced at Rs 49 lakh. All BMW motorcycles sold in India are backed by a three-year warranty. The most recent launch from the brand was the CE 02 electric scooter, priced at Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

In recent months, BMW Motorrad India has introduced its flagship adventure bike, the R 1300 GS, with an introductory price of Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Launched in September 2023, this model replaces the popular R 1250 GS, which had a strong presence in the Indian market. The R 1300 GS stands out with its more powerful engine and a host of new features. Additionally, in October 2023, BMW Motorrad India officially launched the all-new CE 02, an electric motorcycle now available at dealerships across the country. Priced at Rs 4,49,900 (ex-showroom), the BMW CE 02 marks an exciting step for the brand in India’s electric vehicle segment.

In the recent past, BMW India has also announced a price hike, set to take effect from January 1, 2025. The company will implement a 3% increase across its entire lineup. Locally manufactured models will see a price rise ranging from Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 5.5 lakh, depending on the variant. Meanwhile, imported models from the CBU (Completely Built Unit) range will experience an even higher price adjustment as the new rates are applied.
