Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Murlidhar Mohol, who is a Member of Parliament from Pune, recently met Union Minister for Railways and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw. During the meeting, Mohol demanded a special Pune-Delhi-Pune train be run in February for the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Mohol wrote, “The 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan is being organised in the national capital, and this is a matter of pride for all Marathi people. The conference has been organised on 21, 22, and 23 February 2025. Thousands of writers from all over Maharashtra will participate in it. On this occasion, I have requested the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji to arrange a special train between Pune and New Delhi on 19 February 2025 and between New Delhi and Pune on 24 February 2025 for the convenience of the writers.”
“Respecting my request and taking positive note of it, Vaishnaw ji has instructed to take action regarding the provision of a special train for the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. On behalf of all the writers and Marathi people, I sincerely thank Vaishnaw ji for this positive step,” he added.
“The status of a classical language given to the Marathi language and this conference being held in the country’s capital will definitely bring joy to every Marathi person,” the Pune MP further said.
Earlier in October, writer and folk culture researcher Tara Bhawalkar was unanimously elected as the president of the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. The event will be held at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. This event will be held in the national capital after 70 years. Earlier, it was organised there in 1954.
