Mumbai: A 16-year-old college student, Sudhanshu Sonawale, has filed a complaint against three unidentified individuals for assaulting him. Sudhanshu, an 11th-standard commerce student from a Parel-based college, had just finished his economics exam on November 30 when the incident occurred.
According to Sudhanshu’s statement to the police, at around 5 PM on November 30, as he exited the examination hall, an unknown boy approached him, placed a hand on his shoulder, and led him to a corner where two other boys were waiting. Without any provocation, the trio began assaulting him with punches and kicks.
Sudhanshu cried for help, attracting the attention of passersby, which caused the attackers to flee. During the attack, Sudhanshu lost a tooth and suffered injuries, including bleeding from his mouth. He sought medical attention at KEM Hospital and later lodged an FIR at the Bhoiwada Police Station. In his statement, Sudhanshu mentioned that he does not recognize the attackers and has no known enmity with anyone.
The motive behind the assault remains unclear, and the Bhoiwada Police are investigating the case to unravel this mystery.
