Indore (Madhya Pradesh): India’s first preventive health centre is being developed under the Health of Indore campaign, for affordable and efficient healthcare management. Hastimal Sundarbai Parmarthik Trust has donated 30,000 square feet of land worth crores for the state-of-the-art facility, which will include artificial intelligence (AI) for advanced diagnostics.
Patients will receive comprehensive health reports in just two hours due to the modern machines to be installed with the collaboration of IIT. “The centre aims to provide affordable diagnostic services, including blood tests, echocardiography, CT scans, MRIs, cancer screenings, and genomics testing. This initiative builds on the success of health check-ups conducted for four lakh individuals in the city, which revealed a range of health issues across age groups,” Central Lab’s Dr Vinita Kothari said.
She added that specialists from allopathy, Ayurveda, homoeopathy, and naturopathy will be available, ensuring holistic treatment options under one roof.
Patients will have access to multidisciplinary consultations after receiving their reports. Dr Kothari said that follow-up care is important so patients diagnosed with illnesses will be monitored monthly to assess their recovery.
Drawing inspiration from the Bohra community’s health improvements over the past decade, the centre also plans to raise awareness about preventive healthcare through collaborations with religious leaders. Union health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda has been invited by MP Shankar Lalwani to attend the bhoomi pujan of the project.
