Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 19-year-old girl has been rescued from Maharashtra on Tuesday. She went missing from Gwalior one month ago on November 5. The girl alleged that she was taken to Delhi, then Ayodhya and then to Maharashtra where a social media friend allegedly raped her multiple times.
Following a tip-off about the girl’s location, a police team was dispatched to Maharashtra. After a three-day search operation, the girl was rescued but the accused managed to flee. Police have registered a case under charges of abduction, sexual assault, and other offenses. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
According to information, the girl informed the police that her ordeal began when a man she had befriended on social media, identified as Bunty Kushwaha, lured her into his car under the pretense of having a conversation. She alleged that Bunty, along with three other individuals whom he introduced as his uncle and brother-in-law, abducted her and took her to Delhi, Ayodhya, and finally Maharashtra.
In Ayodhya, Bunty allegedly sexually assaulted her and later forced her to marry him at a temple. The accused then brought her back to Gwalior, where he coerced her into signing certain documents before taking her to Maharashtra.
Police investigation
After the abduction, the family filed a complaint at the Gwalior Crime Branch and requested for immediate assistance. Crime Branch formed a team and began investigating into the matter. Police found a lead in Maharashtra.

The police have registered a case against Bunty and another accomplice under charges of abduction, sexual assault, and other offenses. Efforts to apprehend the accused are underway.
