Lucknow University Students Gatecrash Wedding, Hurl Crude Bomb After Being Confronted By Guests; Shocking Video Surfaces

Lucknow: Chaos erupted at a wedding ceremony in the Ramadeen Marriage Hall in Lucknow’s Hasanganj area on Monday night when uninvited students from Lucknow University’s hostel were caught enjoying the feast. Confrontations ensued when wedding guests questioned their presence and inquired which side they represented. Some students, instead of leaving, got into a scuffle with the guests. Visuals of the clash have surfaced on social media.

The situation escalated as the students called their hostel friends for reinforcement. What started as a verbal altercation turned into a violent brawl. According to reports, students allegedly hurled crude bombs and gunshots were also fired, turning the wedding venue into a battlefield.

Five wedding guests were injured in the clash, as per reports. The guests at the wedding have alleged that the students snatched jewelry from women present at the venue.

The groom’s father, Manoj Sonkar, stated that the wedding party had come from Kaiserganj to the Ramadeen Inter College venue. Around 100 unruly individuals entered the gathering, creating havoc. They not only assaulted guests but also looted jewelry and a bag filled with cash.

Several students detained for questioning

Police rushed to the scene following reports of the violence. Multiple teams from nearby police stations arrived, resorting to lathi charges to disperse the crowd. Several students were taken into custody for questioning.

However, Hasanganj Police Station Inspector Dinesh Kumar Singh denied claims of bomb explosions and gunfire, confirming only that a brawl occurred during the wedding. Investigations are underway to identify and take action against those involved.
