Rella Munral from The Cathedral and John Connon Senior School, Fort, won gold with a jump of 4.33 meters in the U-16 girls long jump on the third day of the the SFA Championships 2024. Sanisska Sawla from Utpal Shanghvi Global School stood second at 4.14 meters.
In the girls’ U-8 Speedcubing event, Mayra Dodhia from Next School won the gold medal with a time of 1:24.06, followed by Tashvi Shetty from Rustomjee Cambridge International School in Thane, who secured silver with a time of 1:48.71.
Elsewhere, Vedh Nair from John XXIII CBSE School in Virar West won gold in boys U-7 Karate, with Prasham Sancheti from Gundecha Education Academy in Kandivali taking silver. Back in athletics, Ved Pujari from Children’s Academy, Malad and Sourish Raut from Rustomjee Cambridge International School, Thane, secured gold and silver in boys u-14 long jump with marks of 5.23 meters and 4.90 meters, respectively. Rudransh Rane from Vasant Vihar High School & Jr. College won gold, while Mitansh Ladha from Chatrabhuj Narsee School in Kandivali took silver, with a time of 15.959 and 17.432, respectively, in boys U-8 100m.

After Three days of action, Don Bosco High School (SSC), Matunga leads the medal charts with 3 gold, and 1 bronze medals, and 50 points.Swami Vivekanand High School & Jr College, Chembur , occupies the second spot with 40 points, three ahead of third-placed Chunabhatti MPS
The championships this year will run until December 12th, roping in participants from across Jaipur in a hunt for the best talents. This year, more than 21,000 athletes from 790 schools, ranging from ages 3 to 18, are competing across multiple venues in the city, highlighting the event’s remarkable growth and its commitment to nurturing young sporting talent.
