Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Reviews Action Plan, Work Progress Of Water Supply Arrangements In Ujjain

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the action plan and work progress of water supply of Simhastha Mahaparv-2028 in the collector office auditorium on Friday afternoon and directed the officials to pay special attention to the quality of the works and complete all the works within the time limit. In the meeting, the action plan and works to make Kshipra clean, uninterrupted, flowing and to provide drinking water to the district from Kshipra river were discussed in detail.

In the meeting, CM Yadav said that in Simhastha 2028 and the upcoming Simhasthas, saints and devotees will take bath only with the water of Kshipra, for this Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi Medium Project and Hariyakhedi Project will work in an integrated manner after completion of the work.

CM Yadav said that three goals will be achieved simultaneously through these projects. The holy river Kshipra will be clean and flowing with the said projects and drinking water will also be continuously available to the district from this.

This is the first such scheme in the country and the state, the central government will also be informed about the said projects. Yadav added that the action plan of the said integrated projects has been prepared keeping in view the population till 2055. Through the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the unclean water of the Kanh river will be treated and clean water will be released in Gambhir downstream.

There will be continuous supply of water in Kshipra from Silarkhedi-Severkhedi Barrage, due to which Kshipra will remain uninterrupted and flowing. Since the Hariyakhedi project is upstream of Triveni, pure water of Kshipra river will be obtained from here due to which continuous drinking water will be supplied to the district.

In the meeting, collector Neeraj Kumar Singh informed that in Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the work of cleaning the Kshipra river will be done by separating the water of the Kanh river through a 12 km long closed duct tunnel and 18.15 km closed duct.

By constructing barrage, balancing tank in Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi project, water will be available in Kshipra throughout the year through gravity from Silarkhedi tank to Triveni Ghat pipeline, due to which Kshipra will keep flowing and uninterrupted.

Drinking water will be available to the district uninterruptedly from Hariyakhedi water treatment plant and barrage project. District in-charge minister Gautam Tetwal, divisional commissioner Sanjay Gupta, ADGP Umesh Joga, DIG  Navneet Bhasin, SP Pradeep Sharma, public representative Vivek Joshi and Bahadur Singh Bormundla were present in the meeting.
