West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Expresses Willingness To Lead INDIA Bloc

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday evening had expressed her willingness to take over the functioning of I.N.D.I.A bloc.

In an interview to a private Bengali news channel, Mamata said that she can ‘run the show’ if given an opportunity and also mentioned that she has formed the bloc.

“I have formed the I.N.D.I.A bloc and if given an opportunity I will ensure the smooth functioning of the bloc. Now it is the responsibility of those leading from the front to manage it properly. If they can’t do it, what can I do? I am not leading from the front. Everyone should be taken along. But I will not move outside West Bengal, I can run it from this state,” said Mamata.

The comments of the West Bengal Chief Minister come days after two Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad urged that Mamata Banerjee should be the chief of the opposition bloc and also slammed Congress for debacle in Maharashtra Assembly election.

TMC Durgapur-Bardhaman MP Kirti Azad even said that Mamata Banerjee’s track record is perfect against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Notably, both TMC and Samajwadi Party are not on the same page with that of the Congress and have also not participated in the opposition joint’s protest against Gautam Adani bribery case.
