50.05% Cast Vote In ICAI Election From MP
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Nearly 5718 (50.05%) people from Madhya Pradesh cast vote in election of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The total number of voters was 11425. Out of 75918, 31980 (42.12%.) voters cast their votes in the Central Region which includes seven states, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.
The elections were held at Income Tax Bhawan, Bhopal, on December 6 and 7. The counting of votes will be held between December 19 and 22 in Kanpur. There are 20 candidates for the Central Council, including Abhay Chhajed from Bhopal, four candidates from Indore, four from Ghaziabad, four from Kanpur, four from Jaipur.
In this way, 20 candidates are in the fray from each city, out of whom four candidates will be selected. There are different candidates for the Regional Council as well, out of whom eight members will be selected. The nomination of eight members is done by Central Government.

Bhopalites Run For Hygiene, Sustainability
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Nearly 11,500 people took part in the 10th edition of Run Bhopal Run Marathon 2024 to promote hygiene, sustainability and community well-being in the city on Sunday. Flagged off by Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang at TT Nagar Stadium, the marathon was divided into three categories 5km, 10km and 21km.
In the 21km race, Upendra Pal and Varsha Tekam secured the first position in male and female categories whereas Rakesh Kumar and Ranjana got first position respectively under 10km category. Prizes worth around Rs 3 lakh were awarded across categories.
Besides marathon, the event championed critical causes such as organ donation awareness, tobacco-free society, environmental conservation and cleanliness.
The prestigious RBR Stride Medal Series recognised runners who completed the Half Marathon for three or more consecutive years. A special tribute award honouring Brigadier Rajeev Joshi was presented to Pavni Sapkal, one of India’s youngest female athletes to complete the Ironman 70.3 marathon, recognising her exceptional dedication and valour in sports.
