WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams saw his neck and head stuck between ropes in a major botch during championship match against Ridge Holland at NXT Deadline Premium Live Event. The major botch happened just before the end of the match when Trick Williams came running and tried to perform a move on Ridge Holland. However, Holland moved aside and Williams neck got stuck between the ropes.
The match was momentarily stopped as referee tried to help Williams get out of the ropes. The NXT Champion lucky escaped any serious injury and continued with the match.
WWE NXT Deadline
The third edition of WWE NXT Deadline will take place on Saturday, December 7 at the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The objective of the game is to identify the top contenders for the men’s and women’s NXT Championships through the Iron Survivor Challenge match.
The Iron Survivor Challenge was a 25-minute five-person match, with the winner determined by who can attempt to score the most pinfalls before time expires. The person with the most pins will earn an NXT Title and NXT Women’s Title match.
The men’s match featured Wes Lee vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Ethan Page vs. Eddy Thorpe. The women’s match saw battle between Sol Ruca vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Zaria vs Giulia vs Wren Sinclair.
