Satna (Madhya Pradesh): An 85-year-old man was murdered in Ramsthan village under Babupur police station on Sunday evening. According to reports, some unidentified persons used sharp-edged weapon to slit the throat of the man identified as Bhagat Singh whose body was found in a pool of blood inside his house.
On getting information, city superintendent of police Mahendra Singh, town inspector of Kolgawan Sudeep Soni and others rushed to the spot and began an inquiry into the case. The elderly man was living alone, and his son was living in another house. His elder son Bhajan Singh used to come to him to give him food. On Sunday evening Bhajan went to his father’s residence to make tea for him, but he did not find his father anywhere. Meanwhile, Bhajan saw his father’s body in a pool of blood.
Two held, looted bike recovered
Two youths, including an externed criminal were arrested for looting a biker on the Nagod-Satna Marg on Saturday night. According to reports, when the youth Ram Bihari Dwivedi , resident of Rara Singhpur, complained that two youths looted his bike and wallet. But when the criminals were escaping, their mobile phone fell to the ground. On the basis of the mobile phone, the police identified both the criminals as Arpit Singh Parihar and Shivank Singh Parihar. The police also seized liquor, a pistol and the looted bike from their possession.
