Focus on intersection of financial education and social impact
This year’s edition of Finanza has focused on the intersection of financial education and social impact. The festival began with a launch event that addressed women’s empowerment and highlighted topics related to gender equality, leadership, and career growth. In response to the Badlapur rape incident, the festival hosted a session led by Harish Sadani, founder of Men Against Violence and Abuse (MAVA), who spoke on the importance of challenging harmful societal norms and promoting respect and safety for all individuals.
One of the key initiatives, Fables with Finanza, featured professionals who shared their personal experiences and challenges in their respective fields. Sambasivan Ganesan, CFO of Tata Play, discussed managing financial strategies in the entertainment sector, while Jigar Shah, CFO at NSDL Payments Bank, focused on navigating the digital banking landscape. Kapish Jain, CFO at IIFL Finance, discussed overcoming challenges in the financial services industry. These sessions offered practical lessons on leadership, resilience, and strategic thinking.
Fables with Finanza
Beyond education, Finanza has emphasised social responsibility and sustainability. In partnership with PPA India, the festival organized a beach cleanup drive at Versova Beach, with participation from actor Ayushmann Khurrana and businessman Niranjan Hiranandani. Another cleanup event took place at Carter Road, showing the collective effort needed for environmental conservation. Additionally, a sapling plantation drive was organized to contribute to environmental sustainability.
Pre-event sporting competition
Ahead of the main event, the Finanza Champions League, a pre-event sporting competition, brought together participants for a display of teamwork and friendly competition.
Finanza 2025 aims to foster financial literacy, professional development, and social change through its focus on empowerment, sustainability, and inclusivity.
