New Delhi: The BJP took aim at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of displaying arrogance toward senior Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa during a recent conversation over punctuality. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya shared a video of the interaction on X, alleging that Gandhi’s demeanour was disrespectful.
Malviya, on Tuesday, shared the video of their conversation on X and captioned, “Gurdaspur Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa points out Rahul Gandhi for his lack of discipline. In response, Rahul Gandhi reacts to the senior leader with noticeable attitude and arrogance. It is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has subjected a senior Congress legislator from Punjab to such ignominy.”

What Exactly Happens In The Video?
In the clip, Gandhi and Randhawa, the Gurdaspur MP, engage in a light-hearted conversation about punctuality after a meeting of Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Gandhi is heard advising Randhawa to attend meetings on time, saying “You have to come to the meeting on time. Don’t make excuses.”
The 65-year-old MP instantly retorts, “I came on time. You were late. I came before you.” The exchange ends with both leaders laughing, joined by Congress general secretary KC Venugopal, who also found humour in the banter.
Earlier in the day, Gandhi had chaired a meeting of Congress MPs to strategize for the ongoing parliamentary session. The opposition has been vocally protesting against the government, demanding a discussion on alleged bribery accusations involving industrialist Gautam Adani. The ruling NDA, in turn, has accused Congress leaders of working with billionaire investor George Soros to destabilise the country.
