Mumbai: The CCTV visuals from inside the BEST electric bus which rammed into vehicles and pedestrians in Mumbai’s Kurla on Monday, December 9. The tragic accident claimed lives of 7 people and around 42 individuals suffered serious injuries. The video shows that the bus was overcrowded with passengers sitting and also standing inside the bus as the bus driver was on a hitting spree. It can be seen in the video that the passengers onboard the bus were panicking and were terrified as the accident occurred.
The incident occurred on Monday, December 9 at around 9.30 PM in the market located opposite L Ward, Anjum-E-Islam School, S G Barve Marg, Kurla (West). The CCTV visuals from inside the bus is going viral on social media and it seems to be a Hollywood movie scene, where the bus driver on a rampage, crushing and killing people and the passengers are seen panicking with fear at the time of the incident.

The video shows that the bus is overcrowded and the passengers are seen standing as there is no empty seat in the bus. The conductor can be seen giving tickets and collecting money from the passengers. Little did they knew about the incident which was going to take place at the time. The passengers were panicked and terrified as the bus had the first impact after the collision. They seemed clueless of what is happening and that the driver has lost control of the speeding bus.
The passengers are seen shocked due to the incident. They are seen getting jolts as the bus collides with other vehicles in the hitting spree. The passengers who were seated also stood in fear and stood in the line of trying to get out of the bus. The passengers are seen waiting for the bus to stop and get down to safety. The passenger is also seen holding the bars inside the bus to keep himself from falling.
The Kurla Police arrested the accused BEST bus driver who has been identified as Sanjay More (54). He was produced in court after which the court has sent him to police custody till December 21. The police has initiated an investigation in connection with the matter and are interrogating the accused.
