Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The ward boys and other employees of Bhopal’s Hamidia Hospital did not receive their salaries on Friday as promised. The angered employees are planning to stage a protest again on Monday.
Recently, over 500 ward boys and technicians had gathered at Bhopal’s Hamidia Hospital to protest against non-payment of salaries of three months. The hospital management had assured them that their salaries would be released by Friday or Saturday.
However, as of Friday (December 13), the salaries were still unpaid. The workers have warned that they will resume their strike on Monday if the payments are not made.

They have also put forward a list of demands like – Salaries should be paid between the 1st and 8th of every month; the withheld bonuses must be released immediately; and bonuses should always be paid on time; workers demand proper leave policies and double pay for overtime, and lastly all outsourced employees should receive formal appointment letters.
According to information, the employees earn a salary of 8.5k per month. However, they were not paid for the last three months, due to which they are unable to pay their house rents, school fees and other essential dues.
Employees also alleged that when they ask about salaries, supervisors tell them to quit and look for another job.
