Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Showcases Pavilion at India Maritime Heritage Conclave 2024

The Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (UT of DNH&DD) participated in the India Maritime Heritage Conclave 2024, held on 11-12th December 2024 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, Delhi by setting up a dedicated pavilion to highlight its maritime legacy and the significant strides made in infrastructure development. The UT has witnessed a 360 ° transformation due to the spirited leadership and devout commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the last decade and is continuing on its kartavya journey in realizing the vision of a New India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. It is due to relentless efforts of Administrator Praful Patel that the UT Administration is aiming to position DNH&DD as a premier tourist destination and Higher education Hub in the western region and the UT has developed world class infrastructure in the last 8 years that has boosted holistic development exponentially.

The pavilion of UT of DNH&DD received an esteemed visit from the Union Shri Sarabnanda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, who commended the UT for its efforts for the transformative development. The delegation from UT of DNH&DD provided an insightful briefing on the vibrant maritime heritage of the region, emphasizing ongoing restoration works in Daman and Diu.

The Union Minister lauded the UT of DNH&DD for its proactive efforts in combining heritage preservation with modern infrastructure development. He noted that such initiatives serve as an inspiration for other regions to balance tradition with progress.
