Indore (Madhya Pradesh): People who are happy at having bought a new property are in for a disappointment shortly thereafter. They are unable to register the property in their name as Sampada 2.,0 the new system of property document registration is facing glitches and not working smoothly.
In such a condition they have to execute the registry through Sampada 1.0 in which the available slots have been reduced leading to a waiting period of nearly 10 days for execution of the registry of property.
‘New portal launched in hurry’
Advocates who help people execute registration of properties said that the Registration Department launched the upgraded Sampdada 2.0 portal in a hurry but did not pay any attention to how it will be implemented practically. A major problem is about the OTP, people getting the registry done are hesitant to tell the OTP to advocates involved in the process.
On the other hand, the registration department has reduced the number of daily slots on the old portal so that maximum registrations can be done on the new portal Sampada 2.0. There are a total of 22 sub-registrars in the district and earlier 54 slots were allotted to each sub-registrar, which has now been reduced to 18.
On the other hand, there is no limit on the number of slots on the new portal Sampada-2.0, a minimum of 50 slots are available with each sub-registrar. But registrations do not take place even on half of these slots. On the other hand, all the slots allotted on the old portal get exhausted and now a waiting period of 8-10 days has started. But people who want to get their registration done are ready to wait, but do not want to use the new portal.
