Navi Mumbai: 50-Year-Old Former Law Student Accused Of Sexual Harassment, Files False Complaints Against Lecturer

Navi Mumbai: A 50-year-old man pursuing law education at a renowned law college in Nerul has been accused of repeatedly demanding sexual favors from a 35-year-old female lecturer, leading to allegations of sexual harassment. When the lecturer opposed his advances, he allegedly harassed her mentally by filing false complaints against her with the management.

“The accused passed out from the law college this year. He had been seeking sexual favours from the professor since last year which she had been refusing. Few days back, he went to college again for some work and met the complainant again with the same demand to which he blatantly refused again and approached us with a complaint,” a police officer from Nerul Police station said.

The 50-year-old accused, is a resident of Ambernath. While he was a student in the college, he was infatuated with the 35-year-old lecturer and directly made sexual demands towards her.

Initially, the lecturer ignored him, but he persisted in making these demands. After she clearly rejected him, he started to defame her. He even involved two female classmates of him to spread false information about the lecturer and filed a false complaint against her with the college principal.

“Along with the accused man, his two female classmates are also booked for spreading false information about the lecturer in the college that caused her humiliation,” the officer added.
