Central Railway Wins Six Shields At 69th Railway Week Awards, Ceremony To Be Held On December 21 In Delhi

The 69th Railway Week National Awards function will take place on 21st December 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The prestigious event will celebrate excellence in performance across various departments of Indian Railways, with Zonal Railways and individual achievers being recognized for their exceptional contributions.

This year, Central Railway emerged as a prominent achiever, claiming six departmental shields for outstanding performance, both individually and jointly, out of the total 22 departmental shields being awarded. The shields are a testament to the relentless efforts and dedication of the Central Railway team in enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.

The awards ceremony will also include the presentation of silver medals and merit certificates to individual awardees who have demonstrated remarkable commitment and innovation in their respective fields.The Railway Week Awards are held annually to acknowledge and motivate excellence within the Indian Railways, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

“Central Railway’s Achievements Central Railway has claimed six departmental shields for outstanding performance, including, Govind Vallabh Pant Shield( Awarded for recognizing overall efficiency among all railway zones (jointly with North Eastern Railway) Traffic Transportation Shield, ( Highlighting Central Railway’s exceptional efforts in managing transportation systems efficiently) Stores Shield ( For outstanding performance in inventory management and procurement practices), Environment & Cleanliness Shield, ( Recognized for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and eco-friendly practices) Electrical Engineering Shield (Recognizing excellence in electrical engineering operations and innovations- jointly with East Coast Railway), Civil Engineering Construction Shield (Acknowledging significant contributions to infrastructure development- jointly with South Central and East Central Railways)” said an official of CR.

Apart from that Seven Central Railway officials will be awarded for their outstanding performance, including,  Hemant Jindal, Dy. Chief Vigilance Officer, Sudha Vedprakash Dwivedi, Train Ticket Inspector, Rahul Agarwal, Sr. Divisional Engineer, Milind Khadakkar, Station Superintendent, Sanjiv Kautik Patil, Senior Technician (Electronic Signal Maintainer), Pavan Nina Firake, Assistant/ C&W (Khalasi Helper), V M Mashidkar, Chief Depot Material Superintendent.These awards recognize the efforts put in by the employees and motivate others to excel in their regular working.
