Mumbai: Matunga Police Arrest Tenth Accused In Child Trafficking Racket, 4 More Infants Traced

Mumbai: The Matunga Police have arrested another accused in connection with an illegal child trafficking racket, bringing the total number of arrests to 10. The accused, identified as Abdulkarim Dastagir Nadaf (52), is a resident of Hukkeri, Karnataka.

During interrogation, the police uncovered that four more infants (two girls and two boys), aged between 1.5 to 2 months, had been sold. The infants were traced to Aurangabad, Pune, and Gujarat, and were reportedly sold for amounts ranging between ₹2.5 lakh to ₹3.8 lakh. Following this revelation, the police have intensified efforts to safely recover these infants.

The investigation also suggests that this child trafficking network spans multiple states. Earlier, on December 16, the Matunga Police had arrested nine individuals in connection with this case, which exposed shocking details of illegal infant sales. The probe is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover further layers of this interstate trafficking syndicate.
