Man Gets Life Term For Murder

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): Additional session judge Vishwa Deepak Tiwari has sentenced a man to life imprisonment in connection with a murder in City Homes Colony in Jawahar Nagar at a New Year-eve party on December 31, 2018. The accused Dileep Singh shot dead 42-year-old Pankaj Dubey.

The accused was out on bail, but the court cancelled the bail and sent him to jail. According to reports, a New Year party was going on in the City Homes Colony.

A feast was also arranged for those who participated in the celebrations. Dubey was living at the place where the party was going on. The accused reached there and called Dubey for talks.

But he suddenly whipped out a gun and shot Dubey dead. During the inquiry police came to know that Singh had murdered Dubey due to old enmity. The police arrested Singh and sent him to jail.

Bride, Accomplice Arrested In Rs 12 Lakh Robbery Case

Nawgaon (Chhatarpur): The police have arrested a woman and her accomplice just eight days after she fled with property worth Rs 12 lakh from her husband’s home in Kulwara village, Naugaon. The stolen items included gold and silver jewelry and a mobile phone.

The accused bride, identified as “Khushi Tiwari” (name changed), married Rajdeep, son of Ashok Kumar Rawat, on December 13 in a temple. The marriage was arranged by a mediator, Sukan Pathak, who claimed the bride hailed from Charkhari, Uttar Pradesh.

On the wedding night, the bride allegedly drugged her husband and escaped with the valuables. Following the theft, Ashok Rawat lodged a complaint at Nawgaon police station. After intensive investigation, police arrested the woman, whose real name is Bittu, daughter of Suresh Raikwar, from Lavkushnagar, Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh (UP), along with accomplice Abhay Pratap Singh from Rath, Hamirpur district (UP).

The police recovered a mobile phone used in the crime, but the stolen valuables remain with other absconding accomplices. Station in-charge Satish Singh stated that the search for the remaining suspects is ongoing. Authorities are confident of recovering the stolen items soon.
