Days after a British-Indian tourist’s post went viral for calling India “Dump”, a contrary experience has surfaced online. A recent X thread ran all praises for India and its people. It was shared by a German developer named Samuel Huber visiting the country for his Farcaster Builders International Fellowship. Sharing photos and their captions online, Samuel narrated episodes from his visit to India while noting that every minute he spent here was a great one.
“Loved every minute with my bhais”
“I stayed in Dharamshala and loved every minute with my bhais. Here’s my raw and unfiltered experience in India,” the developer said while drawing the attention of X users towards his series of posts on the social media platform.
I flew from Frankfurt to Delhi.
As a white bhai, I was Immediately welcomed with incredible hospitality. @tvidhatha , @akhil_bvs picked me and @_proxystudio up from the airport.
We entered a classic apartment, ate good food, and then @AhaanRaizada stopped by.

“Beautiful place with lovely people out there”
His thread ran across various topics. In his posts, he talked about playing football on the top of a mountain, going on a long 12-hour car ride and sleeping in the vehicle itself, trying some local cuisine and romancing the picturesque locations of the country.
Through his thread, he conveyed a message that India is a “beautiful place with lovely people out there”. During his visit, he made several friends, whom he preferred to call “Bhais (brothers)”.
We actually SLEPT inside the car that night.
What an experience!
Yes — India is truly NOT for beginners…
The best part, however, just began as we finally reached Dharamsala the next day.
It was all worth it.

Next few days, we collectively explored so many places. I must say: beautiful place with lovely people out there.
The locals were soooo nice to us. The cabin was shaky but well worth it. pic.twitter.com/wa8TfY6I0f

Samuel’s take on developers and tech scenes in India
Samuel threw light on the tech scenes in India that he witnessed during the fellowship get-together. “Everyone here was a bhai builder — so we spent time working and hacking things together. We explored the depths of Farcaster, Base, and onchain ecosystem. I built a Farcaster Frame in the Fellowship and everyone else were shipping final updates”.
I want to take a moment and tell you:
The bhai movement & indian developers are REAL.
The recent @ElectricCapital’s developer report is spot on.
India has truly become #1 in onboarding crypto devs for good reasons. Perhaps a thread for another day. pic.twitter.com/35lKQ5p4nW

Then one evening we went to a different location. @jessepollak called in remotely to talk about building onchain.
I love how we can connect anywhere and everywhere.
Prior to this, we had comedians who made fun of me and @_proxystudio — so wholesome and we thoroughly enjoyed… pic.twitter.com/Vw4dAWr0oc

Off the tech side of his visit, photos showed him wearing a ‘kurta’ and enjoying desi dishes at local eateries.
