Maha Kumbh Mela has began hosting its grand celebration at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The festival venue is being visited by crores of people each day, who are being facilitated by thousands of stalls across the landscape. From ethnic clothing stalls to selfie stands and camel rides, the ‘Sangam City’ is offering a variety of experiences to people attending the Maha Kumbh Mela this year.

A video from the blessed venue showed a camel walking with a QR code on its back, enabling passengers to pay online for the ride without the hustle of carrying cash.

Noting that people from across the world come to witness the Maha Kumbh Mela, the camel owner made it easier for ride-takers to pay him. Instead of worrying about currency exchange associated with cash payment, he allowed people to take the ride by digital payment.

This impressive sight from the huge gathering at Uttar Pradesh has reflected on ‘Digital India’. The video has gone viral on the internet and won thousands of likes.

The video featured a beautifully dressed camel walking on the banks of the Triveni Sangam and drawing visitors’ attention. The animal wore a gracious cloth on its back and was equipped with a seat to ferry passengers. A small board featuring a QR code for online payment through UPI apps like BHIM, Paytm, etc was placed on the camel’s back.
