Hardik Pandya, Shaheen Afridi Attempt Champions Trophy Heist In ‘Mission Impossible’ Inspired Video

The on Thursday unveiled a thrilling new promo for the upcoming which is set to kick off on February 19. The promo featured stars like players like Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Nabi, and Phil Salt.

The promo looks to be inspired by Tom Cruise starter ‘Mission Impossible’ movie. The video starts with Shadab Khan saying “Careful, brother. There’s danger everywhere,’ as he lowers Shaheen into a high-security vault to claim the trophy. “One mistake and game over,” Shaheen reminds his teammate. Team Indian all-rounder Pandya enters by dodging laser security.
Once inside the vault, they face a third rival, Afghan all-rounder Nabi, nicknamed ‘The President’, who had sneaked in by drilling a hole in the floor. But then, a fourth seeker entered through a portal; it was Englishman Salt. The four rivals inside the vault then dive in to grab the prize.

About Champions Trophy 2025

The tournament is set to begin on 19 February in Karachi with the final on 9 March. Pakistan are the defending champions having beaten India back in 2017 final.The eight-team tournament will feature 15 matches and will be played across Pakistan and in Dubai. In Pakistan, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi will be the three venues to host tournament play. India will not travel to Pakistan for the upcoming event because of security reasons

Each Pakistan venue will feature three group games apiece, with Lahore hosting the second semi-final. Lahore will also host the final on 9 March, unless India qualify, in which case it will be played in Dubai. Both the semi-finals and the final will have reserve days. The three group matches involving India, as well as the first semi-final, will be played in Dubai.
