Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): An autorickshaw driver and his 6-month-old daughter died after a car rammed into their vehicle in Ujjain on Friday night. The incident took place on MR-5 road.
Nearby residents rushed to the site and blocked the road. They alleged several road accidents were being reported at this spot on a daily basis, but the district administration still has not built speed breakers here.
Car falls into drains
According to information, on Friday night, auto driver Sheikh Zeeshan (38) went to his in-laws’ house in Topkhana with his wife Shahana (30), son Aril, and 6-month-old daughter Anavia. They were returning home late at night in Dhaanch Bhawan when he took a turn near a school, and a car coming from the front rammed into them.
The car went out of control and fell into the drain, and the auto was damaged. Both– auto driver, and his wife fell on the road due to the intense collision. While the children got stuck in the auto.
Zeeshan and his 6-month-old daughter died in the accident. The mother and son have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
After the death of father and daughter in the horrific accident, the people living in the colony around Dhaankha Bhawan and MR-5 burst out in anger. They blocked the road on Saturday morning. The people protesting said that four people have already died.
