Renowned British rock band Coldplay dedicated a special song to Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah during their concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Notably, Bumrah graced the concert with his presence at the colossal venue as a video of the same went viral on Instagram.
The 31-year-old has established himself as the heart of the Indian team across formats in recent times with his consistent and incisive performances. Bumrah was at the peak of his powers during the recent tour of Australia when he took 32 wickets in the series, cementing himself as the lone warrior for India as they relinquished the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after ten long years.
Below video went viral on social media as Bumrah waved on camera when Coldplay was dedicating the song to him:
The lyrics of the song were:
“Jasprit, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We do not enjoy watching you destroy England with wicket after wicket.”
Jasprit Bumrah to mark his comeback in the third ODI against England
On the cricketing side of things, Bumrah will mark his comeback in the third ODI of the upcoming three-game series against England as he is currently nursing a back injury. He wasn’t able to bowl on the decisive day three of the final Test against Australia in Sydney due to a back spasm.
The 31-year-old’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy depends upon how his back holds up during the third ODI against England in Ahmedabad on February 12.
