Sitharaman on Friday tabled the Economic Survey in Parliament. As per the Economic Survey, the GDP growth rate is estimated to slip to 4-year low of 6.4 per cent in the current financial year ending March 2025. India’s economy is likely to grow at 6.3-6.8 per cent in 2025-26

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has departed from the Ministry of Finance for Rashtrapati Bhavan, to meet President Droupadi Murmu.
Budget 2025 copies reach Parliament. Though Finance Minister presents a paperless Budget, the MPs still get a physical copy of the budget.
Nirmala Sitharaman started the tradition of paperless budget presentations by reading her budget speech on a tablet.
