‘Palestinians Wouldn’t Have Right To Return To Gaza,’ Says US President Donald Trump

Mumbai: US President Donald Trump has stated that Palestinians will not have the right to return to Gaza, which he plans for the United States to “own” as part of a redevelopment project.

Trump has remained firm in his vision to “take over” Gaza and create “beautiful communities” for its 1.9 million residents, who, under his plan, would temporarily reside in neighboring countries. When asked if Palestinians would have the right to return, Trump responded in an interview to Fox News, “No, they wouldn’t. Because they’re going to have much better housing… I’m talking about building a permanent place for them. If they return now, it will be years before it could happen—it’s not habitable.”

US President Donald Trump Reiterates His Interest In Assuming Control Over Canada

US President Donald Trump has reiterated his interest in assuming control over Canada, claiming the country would be better off as part of the United States. Speaking in a pre-recorded interview with Fox News before attending Super Bowl LIX, Trump stated that Canada’s inclusion as the 51st state is a “real thing” under consideration.

“I think Canada would be much better off being a 51st state. Because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada,” Trump told Fox News. “And I’m not going to let that happen, it’s too much. Why are we paying $200 billion a year essentially in subsidy to Canada? Now if they are a 51st state, I don’t mind doing it.”

Trump’s proposal to resettle Gaza’s residents, announced during a recent briefing with Japan’s Prime Minister, has been met with widespread opposition in the region, except for Israel, which has supported it. Both Egypt and Jordan have rejected the plan, with Cairo organizing an Arab League summit to address what it considers “new and dangerous developments for the Palestinian cause.” Trump dismissed regional skepticism, asserting, “I think I could make a deal with Jordan, I think I could make a deal with Egypt. You know, we give them billions and billions of dollars a year.”
