Mumbai: Central Railway of the Mumbai Division announced that train no. 18520 from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Visakhapatnam will remain cancelled from February 16 to 22 and train no. 11019 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Bhubaneswar remains diverted from February 17 to 19.
Due to non-interlocking (NI) work on the South Central Railway (SC) division between the Kazipet Junction Railway Station (KZJ) to Kondapalli Railway Station (KI) decision has been taken.

PGDP – Peddapalli (located in Telangana)

Central Railway also mentioned that the inconvenience is regretted. The decision of train cancellation is taken because of the major work of non-interlocking (NI)

What is non-interlocking (NI)
In railway operations, disconnecting track circuits, signals, and other equipment is referred to as non-interlocking. This can happen when signals or points are defective or there is work being done in the yard.
Special Trains for Mahakumbh 2025 from Mumbai
On February 16, Central Railway announced that it would run special trains for the Kumbh Mela, with different preparations established at the train departure locations. Additional ticket booking counters, “May I Help You” booths, and ongoing information via the public announcement system are also part of these arrangements.
Additionally, Central Railway stated that passengers will be informed of the train’s status, coaches’ condition, direction of travel, coaches’ location on the platform and the duration of their stay at each stop.
