Kolkata: Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari along with three other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislators on Monday got suspended from Assembly for one month.

The Leader of Opposition also stated that apart from him, Agnimitra Paul, Vishwanath Karak, and Bankim Ghosh also got suspended for protesting.
Today, Hon’ble TMC (The Mamata Company) Speaker; Shri Biman Banerjee suspended Smt. Agnimitra Pal, Shri Bankim Ghosh and Shri Biswanath Karak, apart from me, till the end of this Budget Session of the West Bengal Assembly or for 30 days, whichever is earlier.

“Tomorrow Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will come to the House and will give her reaction to the Governor’s speech and suspension comes a day before as she doesn’t want any opposition. This is the fourth time I got suspended from the House. The Speaker is useless. Agnimitra Paul was protesting from her seat. Why is she suspended? The House belongs to the Opposition. We have won on the Hindus’ vote. We will raise our voices for them,” said Adhikari.
Adhikari also mentioned that the saffron camp Legislators on Tuesday will agitate outside the Assembly during the speech of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and boycott Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said that the proceedings of the House are not shown and the people don’t get to know how their elected Legislators are raising their voices for the people.
However, Speaker Biman Bandhopadhyay said, “A motion was moved by Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Nirmal Ghosh, as the way the Opposition leader threw documents on my chair is very condemnable. Then after passing of the motion through verbal votes the BJP MLAs were suspended for 30 days.”
