Doctors Scientific Association of Central Railway’s Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Byculla (BAMH) and Divisional Railway Hospital Kalyan, organised The Continuing Medical Nutrition Education (CMNE) programme on the theme – “Rising High on The Customized Nutrition Habitude” at the CSMT auditorium on 15.2.2025.
Dr Shobha Jagannath, Principal Chief Medical Director, Central Railway, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Dietitians from all over Indian Railways and other Mumbai Dietitians, students participated in this one-day CMNE program.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shobha Jaganath, complimented the Hospital team for organizing such a great event for the Railway Dietitians. She said that there is definitely a case for increasing the scope of nutrition services available to Railway beneficiaries, particularly in comorbidity diseases. Further, she highlighted the need for increase in the dietitian cadre in Railways and importance of School Nutrition Health Program particularly with BMC hospitals and especially for screening school children.
Dr Sushma Matey, Medical Director BAMH, Central Railway and President of Doctors Scientific Foundation during her speech praised the efforts of the dietitians to conduct the CMNE. She thanked PCMD for having joined the CMNE in spite of her packed schedule.
Dr Mahendra Gangurde, Chief Medical Superintendent, Kalyan during his speech appreciated the work of the dietitians to conduct the CMNE. He thanked the delegates, officers of Central Railway and the associates for the grand success of the CMNE. Mr. Sureshkumar NT, Hospital Administrator gave all the support required for the CMNE.
