The rooster’s crowing will disturb you unless your sleep is deep and sound enough to beat outside noises. A Kerala man complained about a rooster disturbing his sleep and health. He filed a complaint against the crowing creature.
Rooster crowing at 3 AM in Kerala village
Well, we aren’t kidding. This is weird but true. A man from a village in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district reported annoyance over a rooster crowing at 3 AM. Identified as Radhakrishna Kurup, the man reported the issue at the Adoor Revenue Divisional Office (RDO), quoting disturbance in sleep and adverse impact on his health.
He informed the officials that a rooster at his neighbour’s place interrupted his sleep by loudly crowing early in the morning. A report in the Times of India identified the neighbour as Anil Kumar while stating Kumar’s rooster would start crowing at 3 AM and continue doing so every day.
The rooster’s morning crow had become a routine and a peaceful sleep had turned into a distant dream for Kurup.
RDO looks into the complaint
Kurup complained after the rooster disrupted his sleep and the RDO authorities looked into the matter. They addressed the issue and called it “Indeed disturbing”.
The investigation heard both Kurup and Kumar, learning the neighbour kept his roosters on the top floor of his residence.
Taking the complaint seriously, a resolution was provided asking Kumar to relocate his poultry shed. The RDO reportedly ordered him to shift the roosters from the upper floor within 14 days.
