The city branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) declared the new executive body on Wednesday. CA Mahesh Indiani has been appointed as the branch chairman of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI for the year 2025. CA Anand Totala has been appointed as the secretary.
The new body includes vice chairman Amol Godha, treasurer Rafique Pathan, WICASA chairman Sameer Shinde, and branch committee members Kedar Pande and Aishwarya Bramhecha. The team will focus on enhancing the services provided to over 1,300 chartered accountants and 5,000 students in the city.
The priorities of the body this year will be organizing timely seminars, workshops, and conferences, with a focus on amendments in taxation and corporate laws. Under the guidance of ICAI president CA Charanjot Singh Nanda and vice president CA Prasanna Kumar D, these events will add value and awareness to CA members, supporting their professional growth.
The foundation will also focus on organizing seminars on taxation compliance and investor awareness. In addition, WICASA, led by CA Shinde, will continue to cater to the needs of CA students, conducting career counseling and programs for students, the office bearers said.
