Pakistan star batter Babar Azam left fans infuriated with his 90-ball 64 in the Champions Trophy 2025 opener against New Zealand on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Karachi. As a result, a fan was seen screaming ‘Babar ko team se nikaalo’ in a video that went viral on social media.
The Lahore-born cricketer, who opened the innings on Wednesday, failed to get into any rhythm into his innings in the first ten overs, especially with the hosts chasing down a daunting 321. The Men in Green found themselves teetering at 22-2 in 10 overs, leaving themselves quite far behind in the run-chase, making the task even steeper moving forward. Babar was eventually dismissed by Black Caps skipper Mitchell Santner in the 34th over, dashing any hopes of Pakistan victory.
