Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Joint teams of Traffic and Koh-e-Fiza police on Tuesday arrested youths who along with their female friends were performing stunts on VIP Road while posing threat to lives of other commuters. The girl on the bike was standing on the seat and was dancing, cheering and passing flying kiss to commuters.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media triggering a backlash from residents. The youths have been arrested and the bike has been seized while efforts were underway to trace the girl, police officials said.
According to reports, the video surfaced on February 28 in which the girl was seen standing on the bike supported by his friend from behind. The other youth was riding the bike while the girl was performing stunts reportedly in an inebriated state.
TI at Koh-e-Fiza police station Brajendra Marskole said bike owner Ritik Yaduvanshi (24) and his aide Sumit Kumar (25) of Old Subhash Nagar were arrested. Ritik was riding the bike while Sumit was supporting the girl from behind.
A letter has been forwarded to RTO for cancellation of the bike rider’s licence, the TI added.
Modified car seized; driver caught performing stunts on VIP Road
TT Nagar police on Tuesday seized a racing car and registered an FIR against its owner.
TI Sudhir Arjaria said while patrolling on Atal Path, the police team intercepted a car as its driver was over speeding. A youth Mohsin Khan and a woman were found in the car. The woman tried to browbeat the policemen for intercepting their vehicle.
However, women cops pacified the woman. The car was seized and was found that it was modified and altered from its original model. The car was fitted with a modified silencer which creates noise and panic among other commuters.
Moreover, the car has tinted glass and its registration plate was also not according to norms. Car driver Mohsin Khan failed to produce driving licence following which an FIR was registered against him and car owner Anas Khan of Koh-e-Fiza.
