Actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma, who would once make headlines with their romantic gestures and PDA, are now all over the news as reports of their alleged breakup went viral. And while the two have not debunked the rumours yet, Tamannaah grabbed eyeballs after she opened up on love in a new podcast, and went on to say that people get “confused between love and relationships”.
Tamannaah appeared on Luke Coutinho’s podcast, during which she stated that love can only be unconditional and “ek tarfa”. “I recently realised that people confuse between what love is and what a relationship is. The moment it is conditional, I feel it ceases to be love. Love can only be unconditional, it can only be ek tarfa. Love is an inside job, it’s how you feel for someone,” she explained.
She went on to say, “The moment you have expectations, you want people to do what you want them to be doing, then that’s just a business transaction. I’ve realised if I have to love someone, I need to let them free, to be who they are.”
During the chat, Tamannaah also revealed that she has always been happier when in a relationship versus when she has been single. “I love the feeling of having companionship; it’s a wonderful feeling. But it matters who you let in that equation because you give them some amount of access and power to influence your life,” she added.
While the actress spoke about what love means to her throughout the podcast, she refrained from speaking about Vijay or her relationship status directly.
A few days ago, a report by Pinkvilla had claimed that Tamannaah and Vijay have decided to part ways after dating for over two years, but they will continue to remain good friends. Another report also mentioned that the reason for their breakup was marriage.
A report by Siasat stated that while Tamannaah wanted to get married, Vijay was not ready to take the plunge, which became a point of contention between the two. Tamannaah and Vijay are yet to issue an official statement on the breakup rumours.
