Surat Station Redevelopment: Temporary Shift In Train Terminals Extended Until March 31

Surat station is undergoing a complete transformation and is being developed into a world-class facility. Currently, concourse work on Platform Nos. 2 and 3 (Phase II) is in progress as part of the Surat Station Redevelopment project. In view of this, the terminal shift for certain trains, originally planned until March 8, 2025, has now been extended until March 31, 2025.

Accordingly, the temporary change in the terminal for select trains originating from or terminating at Surat railway station, which had been shifted to Udhna, will continue. Similarly, some MEMU and passenger trains that were short-terminated or originated from Udhna, Bhestan, and Navsari stations will also follow this arrangement until March 31, 2025.

According to Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Vineet Abhishek, this terminal shift will enhance operational flexibility, reduce congestion at Surat station, improve passenger services, and expedite the execution of ongoing infrastructure projects.

The details of the affected trains and revised timings are provided in Annexures I to VII. Passengers can also find the updated information on Western Railway’s official website:wr.indianrailways.gov.in
