Aligarh: A violent altercation was witnessed in Aligarh’s in Baba Colony, under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Park police station, where a family was brutally attacked for protesting against persistent waterlogging issues.
Aggrieved by the lack of civic action, the family voiced their concerns, which unfortunately provoked a vicious response from certain neighbouring individuals, who resorted to physical violence, leaving the family members grievously wounded.
As per a report by Bharat Samachar, the head of the family suffered severe injuries after being struck with sticks, resulting in a fractured skull. The women and children of the same family also sustained injuries during the harrowing ordeal.

The injured family members were promptly taken to the district hospital for medical treatment. The severity of the head injury suffered by the male head of the household caused considerable concern.
Following the incident, the Aligarh police released a statement on social media. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the police stated that the in-charge of the Gandhi Park police station had been directed to conduct a thorough investigation and take necessary action against the perpetrators.

The police also assured that they are taking the matter seriously are currently gathering evidence and recording statements to determine the exact sequence of events.
