Big Garden, Pond To Come Up In Indore’s Pologround Area

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a step toward environmental improvement and urban beautification, Indore Municipal Corporation has announced the development of a big garden and pond in the Pologround area. The project will come up on 12.88 hectares of government land enhancing the city’s green cover.

Municipal commissioner Shivam Verma accompanied by additional municipal commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar, assistant engineer Naresh Jaiswal and other officials inspected the site on Wednesday. During the inspection, Verma said that the project would include a large garden, a pond, a dedicated yoga centre and walking pathways.

A key feature of the development will be the Miyawaki tree plantation method, which will create a dense forest-like green space, further strengthening Indore’s ecological balance.

“The IMC is committed to transforming this area into a green haven for the people of Indore. The project will significantly contribute to environmental sustainability while also offering a serene and refreshing space for citizens,” Verma told reporters.

He also directed officials to prepare a detailed action plan for the project to ensure its timely execution. The ambitious project aligns with Indore’s ongoing efforts to promote urban greenery and environmental conservation.
