The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday launched a massive attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for allegedly referring to Delhi cops as “Thulla” inside the Assembly.
Sharing a clip of the Delhi CM’s speech during the discussion of the CAG report inside the Delhi Assembly on Friday, AAP alleged, “CM Rekha Gupta referred to police personnel as ‘Thulla’ in the Assembly today.”

In its post, AAP claimed that the clip exposes the BJP’s double standards.
Hitting out at the Assembly Speaker, AAP said, “Even the Speaker of the Assembly did not raise any objection to this.”
Attacking the BJP, it said, “However, if any other leader had used the same word, forget the Assembly—these very BJP members would have created a spectacle across the country!”
What did Rekha Gupta say?
In the clip shared by AAP, the Delhi CM can be heard narrating a story. “In a village, a shopkeeper’s store was robbed. It was a ration shop, and a lot of goods were stolen. For that poor man, even this theft was a huge loss. He filed a report at the police station,” she said.
“The police at the station were just like the Punjab government’s police—they arrived late. Do thulle (two cops) stood here, two there, and in this manner, they surrounded the entire area,” she added.
Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bharadwaj responded sharply to Rekha Gupta’s remarks against cops and said, “I remember when Kejriwal Ji used the word “Thulla,” there was an uproar for several days. Today, there is no uproar. Will no one file a defamation case? Will no one’s honor be hurt today?”
