The temple features a rock-carved idol of Lord Hanuman, along with shrines for Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.
In Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman was born to Mata Anjana and Kesari. He is also regarded as the son of Vayu, the Wind God. The Mata Anjani temple is situated near Anjeyanadri Hill.
