Madhya Pradesh: New Tube Well Management Module Launched, Mobile Application Launched For Management

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To tackle issues related to encroachment on government tube wells and to bring transparency in maintaining the government tube wells in rural areas, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has come up with a new tube well management module.

Under this, the tube wells dug up from February 1 will be geo-tagged and all their information will be collected on the mobile app.

A PHED official said earlier that there used to be complaints that the government tube well had been encroached on.

Such kind of cases were mostly seen in Bhind and Rewa. Apart from this, there were cases wherein the government team on the way to repair the defunct tube well in villages used to struggle to locate the exact area of tubewell. All such kinds of problems are likely to be addressed with the new tube well management module.

Now with a click, department will see the exact location of the tube well and can check the encroachment of tube wells.

The sub-engineer will fill the tube-well related information on the mobile app. Along with this, tube wells will be geo-tagged in villages.

The information related to tube wells, the construction of their platforms, and the installation of motors can also seen by the principal secretary and other senior officials of the department.

The PHED maintains over 5 lakh tube wells in the state. There is a plan to collect information about them on the lines of the new tube well management module to make the work easy and transparent
