Pune VIDEO: MNS Organises Fun-Filled Mango-Eating Competition For Children

With the onset of summer, mangoes have started filling the markets. This juicy seasonal fruit is a favourite across all age groups. Its sweet taste makes it a must-have treat during the hot months.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has been organising a mango-eating competition for children at Balgandharva Rangamandir in Pune for the last many years.

This year too, the competition was held on Saturday and over 30 kids participated.

“Since 2010, we have been organising this festival, which brings mangoes directly from the farms of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg to the customers,” said the competition organiser.

“Everyone likes mangoes, especially kids. Around 30-35 children take part every year. We challenge them to eat three mangoes in two minutes. While eating, the kids get messy—dirtying their hands, clothes and faces. Seeing this, even the parents feel happy. The winner receives a box of mangoes,” he added.
