Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A video has gone viral on social media on Friday in which a miscreant on a moving two-wheeler is seen molesting a girl strolling on the road while talking on a mobile phone.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday night in the MIG police station area. However, police received no formal complaint regarding the incident.
DCP (zone-2) Abhinay Vishwakarma said that the video has come to their notice and they have not received any complaint from the girl or anyone about the incident.
They are investigating the matter thoroughly and are gathering information about the miscreant.
In the video, the miscreant was seen inappropriately touching the girl while she was talking on mobile phone on the road and fled the scene.
Youth booked for molesting advocate
In a separate incident, a youth was booked for molesting a woman advocate under Rau police station limits.
Additional DCP (zone-1) Alok Kumar Sharma said that a 40-year-old woman lodged a complaint stating that a person Siddarth alias Sidhu from her neighbourhood passed vulgar comments and made obscene gestures towards her.
The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of BNS and further investigation is underway.
