Ballia (Uttar Pradesh), April 19: In a shocking incident, a minor boy was smashed to the ground allegedly by two people in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia. The horrific incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the viral CCTV footage that the man picked up the 8-year-old boy over his shoulder and then threw him to the ground with full force. There are reports that the child sustained serious injuries to his head in the attack.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday (April 14) in Amhar Patti Uttar village which falls under the Rasra Police Station area. The 8-year-old boy named Anmol Gupta was badly beaten and thrown to the ground by two youths. They have been identified as Vineet Kannoujia (20) and Sumit Kannoujia (18).

As per reports from Dainik Bhaskar, the attackers grabbed Anmol and threw him onto the road, causing a serious head injury. He started vomiting blood and fell unconscious. After the attack, the two accused went to their grandparents and told them what they did. Shockingly, the grandparents reportedly encouraged them further, saying, “Hit him again, don’t worry about the police.”

The accused then fled the spot. Anmol’s father Mohan Gupta rushed home after hearing about the incident. He found his son unable to speak or see properly.
Anmol was first taken to the Rasra Primary Health Centre. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to Lifeline Hospital in Azamgarh. A CT scan revealed internal bleeding in his brain. Doctors are trying to save his life, but his condition remains critical.
The family has filed a complaint in connection with the matter and the police have registered a case against the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
Ballia Police replied to the viral video and said, “In this regard, on the basis of the complaint received by the local police station, a case has been registered under relevant sections; other necessary legal proceedings are underway.”
