Most people order biryani expecting extra raita, not a resume. But one Zomato customer got both — a delicious meal and a handwritten internship request from the delivery executive, who also happens to be a college student. The incident surfaced from Bengaluru when a delivery partner dropped his contact details in a small piece of paper along with the food package.
The note was shared on LinkedIn by Nikhil C, a Bengaluru-based solutions engineer. In his post, Nikhil explained that he and his colleague, Yash Kondewar, had ordered food during a late evening at work at Shopflo. While they ordered a meal box, they didn’t expect a handwritten note. He mentioned that the chit from the delivery partner sought an internship.

“I am a college student looking for a summer internship in marketing (NOT sales). Do contact me,” the note read, followed by a phone number. The software engineer revealed that the student turned delivery boy had also apologised for his “terrible handwriting”.
“That note hit me. Amidst the hustle of deliveries, this person still took a shot at reaching out – handwritten, bold, and hopeful. It reminded me how opportunities don’t always come through formal channels – sometimes, they’re scribbled on paper in the middle of a delivery run”, the LinkedIn post read.
Nikhil urged LinkedIn users to help this college student with right opportunities.
“If someone from the marketing space comes across this and sees potential in him, I truly hope this note finds the right eyes. Because sometimes, the boldest applications don’t land in inboxes – they land with your biryani”, it read further.
